Are amber necklaces safe?

As a safety feature, there is a knot before and after each bead, so that even in the extremely unlikely event of the string being torn, no beads are lost and there is no risk of choking. Amber necklaces are secured with a traditional screw clasp, not a hook and ring and not a magnetic clasp. But…..

Safety Disclaimer! Please do not leave children unattended with their necklace or bracelet as it may present a choking hazard. For very young children, the necklace should not hang down too loosely. 

What size do I need?

The amber necklace will stretch over time with wear. To determine size, take a string and put it around where you would like to lay on baby. Mark the string, place it next to a ruler or tape measure and voilà ~ that is your size! All sizes are approximate and may have up to a 1″ variance.

Wearing vs. Chewing:

Baltic Amber is effective when worn, not ingested. Please do not ever place in you or your child’s mouth. You cannot overdose on it, but it is a choking hazard when in your mouth.

How do I wash it?

Wipe it with a damp cloth. That’s it!
